Gouldian Finch

Pretty like a rainbow, cuddly like a blanket,
I return from the sky, singing my way down.
High in the tree you see me flap,
Chirping away to my friends.
Sitting on a branch, what will I eat? It depends,
Wiggly wet worms, peck peck, yummy in my tum.
I am a Gouldian finch and I am endangered, my population is decreasing,
I won’t be here for long if you don’t stop cutting down my home and manage other threats to my survival.
Please protect me Australia, I am important to our ecosystem.
