Green Plant

The green, bumpy plant was shaded from the glistening sun by the hollow, brick chapel.
The dark, green plant looks at the grey, cold rock with envy.
As people admire the beautiful, white blossom while the green plant feels its roots twitch and turn with anger.
After years of mistreatment and neglect weeds start to suck the nutrients form the dark green plant like a leech draining the life from the host it attaches to.
As years go by with weeds becoming bigger than the yellow, dry plant.
The yellow plant is as miserable as a needle and the weeds as evil as a watch but the plant is powerless as the weeds grow larger the plant becomes lighter and smaller until... nothing.
