Green Sea Turtles, The Emeralds Of The Ocean.

From coral reefs,

they look like leaves.

Gliding through the sea,

just below the surface is where they may be.

They can ride the waves into the middle,

their hatchlings are cute and little. 

They have a solid shell,

it can be greens including olive or pastel. 

They move with varying speed, worms, algae and jellyfish is what they feed.

They are in danger of extinction, turtles are reptiles of distinction. 

Their shells glisten like a gem and together we can protect them.
