Green Seas

The waves wash over my thighs, 
My hands dig under the sand,  
Ocean blue tides match the ocean blue skies - 

- or is this just wonderland? 
 

Dive deep into the water, 
Then you’ll finally see, 
The truth behind the offer, 
Isn’t what we need. 
 

The coral’s losing colour, 
The animals are dying, 
When will we discover, 
We need to start trying? 
 

Pollute and invest, 
How long does this last? 
We protest and protest, 
Can we bring back the past? 

 
Scream and try to be seen, 
But no one can hear you, 
The ocean tides are now green -  
 
- not blue.
