As I sat and looked around,

Not a being made a sound.

All glued to their phones and screens,

Not noticing skies and greens.

Sky is blue, birds fly

I sat alone, wondering why.

What did the screen do to humanity?

And then, there was a burst of insanity!

People dunking phones on custard,

Humans drinking ranch on mustard,

Everyone making candy beer,

Did these screens make them queer?

What happened? What was that?

 People still didn’t see that?

The cell phone tower! It’s burning down!

It’ll cut off the power to the town!

So, I moved to a new town, but oh what a drag!

People prancing, choking with bags.

I had to give myself a very stern lecture,

Why couldn’t I just stick with nature?
