All-consuming guilt

I observed as you selfishly swallowed the fragile twigs

The fragile twigs that once gave you life

It was strange, peculiar

I could once tame you, your screaming, burning flame

But you could not help yourself

Once comfortably seated on the frail stick of wood; contained, calm

You are famished, so I fed you

You touched the land so gently, yet so vulgar

The tanty twigs were never sufficient enough

All-consuming guilt

Selfishly swallowing the tanty twigs, the land which once gave to you

Until you were tamed once again, reduced to my everlasting flame

It was strange, peculiar

You left gifts of blackness, charred wood and leaves

You dance on the ground Hephaestus, gesturing a voice only I could hear

Why must such a beautiful being be so dangerous?

I hear your voice, I feel your heat, I see your light

Cleansing the land to make more of it

Growing and flourishing, growing and flourishing
