Growing Up

I thought I was still a kid.

Am I?

15 sounds grown up, but I don’t feel it.

Yesterday, pushed by Mum on the swings at the local playground,

Today, studying at my desk in the dark, alone.

From stomping in the crunchy autumn leaves,

And jumping on the rusty trampoline in my favourite fairy dress,

I now sit on my phone, glaring at the screen, scrolling.
