The smooth polyester,
The largest one of them all,
Ears as long as a mouse’s tail,
Eyes as black as the night sky,
Yellow and white.
Come home,
Sitting on the bed waiting for me,
Dust building up,
Desperately listening for the door to unlock,
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
The moon rises,
The lights turn off,
The comfort she gives me,
Helping me go to sleep,
Bringing me good dreams and good luck.
