I am a koala, we are endangered and need a helping hand

We need assistance, everyone needs to understand

We all want to live a good life, just like you

Don’t burn my homeland, without a clue

My land has been destroyed by fires

Everyone said they would repair and fix it, they all are liars

My parents and friends, all destroyed in the flame

More of them are coming, I will be dead all the same

I live in the safety of the eucalyptus trees

I need help to build my home again, please

A small assistance would make a huge difference to my life

Save me from all my fears, worries and strife

Everyone says we don’t have a chance, we will die

But we do, our numbers can fly

You just need to try more, to try to save all of them

Koalas’ lives are at risk, they are not to condemn

What can we do to help, you might ask

Don’t feed them with your own food, give them a task

Let them live in the wild, don’t keep them captive

Help the koalas, let them live!
