High Tide Low Tide

A vicious wave rushes against the gold gritty sand
Cobalt ocean water gleaming.
Blinding your eyes with luminous light
Reflecting the bright, bright sun.
A gentle wave passively nudges your feet
Before washing out to sea-
Splash, splosh, the azure tide reaches its lowest point
Revealing the rock pools that are perfect for fun play.
Loud crashes, waves surging far,
Clawing for land, slowly devouring.
They have been inching up, hour by hour, minute by minute
Readying to be dominant over miniscule grains of sand.
Calm currents, slow and smooth
Like a calm turtle gliding through the sea.
Soft wooshes come from the ocean
And loud children play in the shallower sandy waters.
