A gentle breeze across the field
Where the rainbow lorikeets soar
And the kangaroos hop
The unstable ground
Holding each tree like a mother holds her child
Never letting go
The trees barely reaching out far enough
Trying to grab the sun
Dry blades of grass through your toes, bringing back a vivid memory
A memory once forgotten
The eucalyptus trees aroma floats through the air
Leaving no room for any other smell
Wind blows dirt from the dry dusty land
Making it harder to see the bindis
Leaves easily break in your hand
Leaving a minty smell behind
This is peace
This is life
This is home
