Home Amongst The Gumtrees

I can smell the eucalyptus leaves 

I can see tall white trees

I can taste the mist of the morning. 

Koalas are giving a stare  

birds are flying in the air. 

Goannas crawl on the ground 

snakes don’t make a sound. 

Kookaburras laugh 

cows have their calves. 

This is my home.
