She stands along the curb in front of her house

It is not a home, just a house, Home is not here

She has no home with all she fears

A tear runs down her bruised cheek,

As she slowly moves away from where she feels unsafe

The storm rumbles overhead, shivering continuously. Cold, wet and misunderstood

Raindrops fall onto her pale skin joint with her tears

She finds a space, a space where she feels safe

She stumbles upon a beautiful hedge, it speaks to her.

The voices become louder the closer she comes

She sits in the opening and laughs as the leaves tickle the crook of her neck.

“Sit here and I will keep you safe. All your worries will quickly fade away”

She steps through to the other side, and then hears a sudden tweet

The bright, yellow, joyful sun shines down on her soft, glass skin

Her shoes click on the footpath, the sight of a colourful spacious place she hadn’t seen before

She entered worried, but doesn’t feel that way anymore, Home.

The fields of soft white roses are elegant and fragile, and she feels as if she were in a dream

Her heart aches with fear, looking back on the house

She admires her view as a sunflower picks her up and carries her high

Her sweet smile, cheerfully contagious. Peace.
