Honeycomb Cherries

My Honeycomb Cherry is special to me
She is shown to everyone
Through our cabinet pane
I just sit there looking through glass
As my hair collects dust
I’ve been taken out once or twice
But I try to hold my smile
My hat sits on me with a tilt
I think they have forgotten me
As I watch people passing the hall
I sit with my cherry coat on
My chocolate drop nose
And my honeycomb smile
Everyone stops to look
They tell the story of how I came to be
With sweet brown eyes I try to say
Look at me look at me
So it turns out I’m just a bear
So no one seems to care.
Accept me
