Merry Monday mornings, skipping diamonds in pools

Sprinkle salty remedies, what a beautiful fool

Hands ticking eternally, weighing droopy shoulders

Oh how wonderful life would be, if I was just a little older

Stormy September skies, drizzle dorm windows

Scribbling warning signs, the pedestal grows

Crumbling serenity, droplets fall colder

Oh how wonderful life would be, if I was just a little older

Pale purple pain, reflection rusts

Young princess slain, leaving only dust

Missing childish glee, future left unsung

Oh how wonderful life had been, back when I was young

So trot lightly my darling,

Let the breeze take you where it blows

Don’t spend your days wishing,

You were a lily when you’re a rose

So as I stand here, on this merry Monday morning

Blowing bubbles at the sea

I smile and ponder, how wonderful life can be
