Water in Australia is beautiful and lush,
where land meets water and hydrates the bottlebrush.
From fresh water to salty sea,
what man takes advantage of and leaves our wildlife to bleed.
They overfish our sea creatures and kill our crocs,
they take our land and farm it for crops.
What once was a stunning riverine,
now subdivided for housing where people release dopamine.
Taking our coastlines and using them as attractions,
selling mansions on cliffs through transactions.
Man has taken our most important resource and sold it for human recreation,
we need to remember the meaning of preservation.
We have lost the understanding of how important water is and whose it was originally.
