For you to wake up the next day between the leaves,

trees need to stay where they are, we need to stop

The furry creatures rub their velvet noses against the trunk

To see it disappear from their eyes

From climbing up those gorgeous planks of wood, 

to having to wait for the cars to pass to find a home
