I saw her standing there

I saw her standing there the very first day
Suddenly she was walking my way
Finally someone to take me home
So the world I may roam
So was the day we met
Her name I found was Antoinette
She took me home and around we danced
Tea parties I found were a must
Where teacups were thrust upon us
The scones were yum
So were the cherry plums
And as good little dolls we happily complied
Eating the imaginary food pile by pile
This life was happy
And even sometimes wacky
Until the day we were laid aside
I saw her standing there the very last day
As she looked at us and walked away
No more in the warm home
No more shall we roam
On this day we part
And become so far apart
The door shuts
The cold cuts into us
As we realise we are alone.
