I sway gently,

Then roughly

And eventually the wind swallows me

 

I try to flip, slowly,

I try to flop, slower,

I try to flap, the slowest I ever, ever have 

 

My knotted branches 

And lime, lush, leaping leaves 

Both twisting, tumbling and turning 

 

I feel the uneven clear tears of the sky on my hardened trunk

Drip, drop, drop, drip, drop, drop 

My branches straighten

 

Gradually I calm down

On a gleaming summers day like today

That cool, clear uneven liquid is a luxury 

 

That is me 

A tall, tremendous, towering
