In the depths of the ocean, where life hides away,
A creature so graceful, the sea turtle sways
But an unfortunate truth, we must now address,
The sea turtle's fate hangs by a thread
A vulnerable thread of distress.

Endangered they are, the precious turtles
Facing the risks and the dangers that hurtle
From pollution to home loss, they’re in strife.
We humans have duty to protect precious life.
Their singular precious life.

With shells so sturdy, like armour, they wear,
Sea turtles navigate waves with great care.
But their armours is useless against tidal waves,
Waves of plastic that number their days,
Their finite and fragile days.

We need to unite in this urgent endeavour
To save the sea turtle, now and forever.
For if we don't act, behave like we cherish
This wonderful creature, they’ll surely perish.
A treasure of oceans, perished.
