We built fortresses and castles,
filled with all sorts of tassels.
Our dreams could only be fulfilled
In this land that we did build.
I walk along the loose and powdery grains,
Watching the magical, sunkissed rays.
My memories blazing in my mind,
Contemplating the waves intertwined.

The sea hums carelessly onto the sand,
With views of shades of blue from the land.
Each crash, so soft, bright and never ending.
The beauty is so mesmerising and transcending.
The blazing sun itself, could not keep me away,
Making me feel ever so okay.
