Is my Existence a Joke?

Amidst the Hawkesbury, up so high,
Where koalas munch and the kookaburras fly,
Where are you now, thy creature, where are you now?
Why did the koala join a band?
To drown out the chainsaw's demand!
Why don't koalas get lost in the woods?
Because developers map out every inch for goods!
Where are you now, thy creature, where are you now?
But jokes aside, they're in deep trouble,
As Hawkesbury’s wilds begin to weep,
Endangered now, their numbers fall,
Where are you now, thy creature, where are you now?
The koka-koala’s remains make a stance,
When the native bear takes a glance,
It gets plastic beads in its body now,
Where are you now, thy creature, where are you now?
So let’s unite, take a stand,
Save this land from greed's heavy hand,
Plant more trees, keep rivers clean,
Where are you now, thy creature, where are you now?
