Islington, 2006

Every time I look at the gleaming keychain,
I see the logo carved in the plate, as golden as the sun.
The word 'Arsenal'
and a cannon at rest signifying celebration.

I kept staring at its exquisite golden shine,
Admiring the unique design,
As light was reflecting off its polished exterior,
my imaginations of the place run wild.

I always clutch it tightly,
feeling the warmth beneath it's cool metallic surface
as it always brings me back,
to the lively, livid London.

Although I was too young to remember,
I imagine the bustling streets
as I take in the fresh springtime weather.

Wherever I go, it follows.
From beginning to end.
Over the next twelve years, I've lived in four cities,
But I will always remember, borough of Islington, my origin.
