I am going home,
With my parents and family,
All just because of a garden gnome,

Took days and weeks,
By car and by boat,
But we heard the BANG!
And it was time to retreat,
I really didn’t want to come home,
But then again, the garden gnome,

I saw its evil face,
And its terrible teeth,
Then the giant arms,
And the huge, muddy feet,

But as I heard the bang,
And smelt the smoke,
And as I heard the screams,
I knew it was time for the retreat,

As I tasted the smoke,
And felt the hot blazing fire,
As I tasted the burning wood chips, as it fell on me during the fire,
And felt the pain of knowing,
It was time to retreat,

I wasn’t happy, knowing that I had to let all these people suffer,
But it was the only option, so I had to retreat.
