Journal Entry #72

Words are my prized possessions
unique, powerful, emotive.
But how do you write about words?
You can't own them--only know them.
So I wrote about my favourite book,
A journal of pages so soft they caress
my hand as I write life into
smooth, white pages
and enter my thoughts,
sins, dreams and quotations,
as this wonderful book,
one I've had for ages,
catches words as they fall from my fingertips.
