Roar! Ka ka ka!

Tall towering trees murmur secrets of the forest.
Rainbow-coloured serpents cover the trees as still as a statue.
Thick dense mud consumes the forest floor,
Raindrops feed the jungle more and more.

Emerald-green vines twist and turn choking the trees.
Spider monkeys swing from branches as old as time,
While leaves fall from shrubs the colour of limes.
Bright vivid birds scramble for resources to construct their nests,
Small strange critters flee to their burrows,
Squirrels rush for materials to make their homes the best.

Down bellow a creature lurks,
Death-defying eyes, scaly skin.
Patiently waiting in the murks,
Like a lamb to the slaughter an innocent deer awaits.
The jungle is a deadly place!
