I saw the cuddly marsupial
As it crossed the danger zone
It looked up at me and
Then at the most verdant tree
With the most luscious leaves
I had ever seen

He heard the cars roar
With madness
The wind whistled
With a bad temper
As it started to get stronger

You could smell the dust arising
From under the tyres
The engines of the car
polluting rapidly
As it took a breath
It started to cough

I felt the urge
To go and take it to its destination
I sensed a nerve - racking turn
In my blood pressure
We both knew it was now or never
