The steely grey fur, rounded face and white fluffy ears of a koala is an exciting and beloved sight to behold, 

However, our National icon’s survival is threatened if destruction of its eucalypt home is not better controlled. 

 

Perched high in the branches, strong, clawed feet grasp the gum leaves on which they survive,

Bushfire, drought, disease and habitat clearing for development are causing their numbers to shockingly decline.

 

Koalas are now endangered as population numbers have halved in the last 20 years, 

Losing this precious Australian iconic species forever is a very real and devastating fear.

 

So Australia let’s come together to protect and restore their precious eucalypt homes,

Stop fragmenting and destroying their habitats and give them the respect they deserve to be shown.
