Koalas

That ‘cuddly’ cute little grey fella resting in the tree,

Vicious but cute and fluffy.

Usually found napping in the fork of eucalyptus trees,

Sometimes snacking on some delicious, delectable leaves.

Asleep for about 22 hours a day,

Peaceful, quiet, alone.

Venturing for only a few times a day,

To find the tastiest, most delicious eucalyptus leaves.

Bush fires come and go,

Trees burning down.

Losing their homes and forced to leave,

Sad at losing their home.

Koalas becoming endangered,

Family and friends burnt, lost in the fires.

Miserable, tired, confused,

Searching endlessly for a new safe place to live.
