Koalas

Koala, Koala, I see you there,
You are a marsupial, you are not a bear.
You live in a tree and carry your young in a pouch,
Sitting in the fork of the eucalypt tree.
Koala, Koala, you see me,
Looking up at you in your eucalyptus tree.
A bear is not a koala, and a koala is not a bear,
I thought I would make people very much aware.
Koala, Koala you just eat lives all day what more could you do,
Bears don’t have big fluffy ears like you.
They are much bigger than you.
I still have that photo of me and you.
Koala, koala why are you growling at me?
Perhaps you enjoy your home better than you do me.
Go back up to your safe place in the tree,
Back to sleep resting, quietly, calmly.
