The fires burn brightly

Engulfing, swallowing all in their path

The little koalas hold onto the branches tightly

To save themselves from the burning heat

The koalas go around

Looking for a place to stay

So they will no longer be astray

But they must be aware

As the danger and despair haven’t gone

But have only been delayed

The koalas sit in their tree

All happy again

Because they're safe in the leaves

The koalas miss their families and friends

But at least the danger is gone
