Laugh, laugh, laugh 

The loudest bird laughs

Sing, sing, sing

They sing in the trees, they sing in the air 

All they do is sing

Peck, peck, peck 

They peck like lumberjacks

Fly, fly, fly

They fly through the whistling air 

Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle

The wriggling worms they feed these amazing birds

Whoosh comes the kookaburra to eat them all up 

King, king, king

He sits in the gum trees thinking he’s the king 

But all he does is laugh peck and think he is the king

Kookaburra, an amazing bird

He loves his gum leaves

He loves his worms 

Kookaburrashe loves being king
