Last breath

Mother Nature breathing in and out,
Swaying trees and slowly rocking the animals to sleep.
Peaceful night where not a sound is to be heard,
Except the soft murmur of the trees.
The faint pattering of the rain onto the lush grass,
Passing life onto the ground.
But the life around us is slowly fading away,
Melting away like ice-cream on a sunny day.
Until nothing is left of it.
Nothing more than a distant memory.
Green a thing of the past,
Animals no longer roam the world.
Trees being cut down,
Taking their last breath,
Last look of Earth,
Before collapsing onto the ashes of the world.
