Laughing in the Rain

The sky has faded crimson red
As the wind danced through the trees
Enchanted forests lay ahead
The moonlight bleached the seas
A fresh blanket of crisp snow
Now smothered the forest floor
Ice-encrusted twigs hung low
Soon rain began to pour
The sky had split and shattered
As a raging storm poured out
Although it hadn't mattered
I had faith and didn't doubt
The grass swayed by my ankles
I stood there and smiled again
And that moment was just perfect
Standing, laughing in the rain
