Leprechaun

Small mysterious sprite
Little green top hat
thick black belt around his bulging tummy
white fluffy beard encases his jolly face
four leafed clover surround his drum
chubby cheeks resemble juicy red apples
luck-bringer
happy face looking at me
like an old man gazing up from his newspaper, wise and silent
small, just the size of a saltshaker
but so special
a present from Ireland
returned to Australia in my nan's bag

just for me

My Leprechaun is very special because my nan gave it to me after a trip to Ireland. My nan is a wonderful person and I believe my leprechaun gives me luck.
