Released into earth's rich soil below,
Fresh flowing water trickles towards me,
I rest beneath soil ever so mellow,
In time I sprout into the world to see.

I grow and grow feeling louder and prouder,
Experiencing new plants surrounding,
My leaves and branches grow big and louder,
Birds fly above me in circles clouding.

Time passes and leaves begin to fall and change,
Swishing and swaying in the breeze,
Plants around begin to rearrange,
Years go by and time begins to freeze.

Only to be struck down with no compare,
Thus falling beneath earth willing for air.
