Life is Unexpected

Life is unexpected,

It’s destined, much like nature.

Nature sees through our lives

With passionate hearts filled with hope.

The soft smooth petals,

The thick, vicious stems.

They are sworn enemies,

United as one.

The sharp, rotten thorns hurt us,

They bore us, annoy us.

They are the things that are wrong in our lives,

They hurt us when things go our way.

Life is as unexpected as nature,

Nature and life are connected.

Through their similarities,

They will try to speak verities.

But they are unexpected.

How will we know that they won’t lie?

How will we know they won’t hurt us?

We will never know.
