Resting under its broad canopy

The shadow falls and lies beside me

A haven formed, its branches like limbs

I feel the leaves whisper against my skin

The trunk of the tree embraced like a spin

I hear the ground beat a beat like mine

My hands are covered and soon embraced

The veins of the leaves like my hands being traced

Her skin is comforting and carved like a berth

The kookaburra's song flooded with mirth

Breathe in the scent and listen to her voice

The chilling call of the wisdom noise

The wind tells a story like one unheard

A story told without a single word

Watch the animals sing and dance

Wait to join them when you get the chance

In this moment I am both anchored and free

A part of something like a flower in a lea

Everything fits just like the morning chime

A place where solitude and presence intertwine
