The excitement exploding
The turquoise box shining

Anticipation building up, I scurry for the box
As I open the gift,
the world seems to play in slow motion

I upend the suede aquamarine bag
And find

Sterling silver rings,
Linking delicately,
Making a dainty fine chain

Two hearts linked to
To the exquisite silver chain

One heart with the word of the brand
Tiffany & Co
salmon pink the colour of the other heart

I settle down in my room
The anticipation lowering
And my happiness glowing
