The Earth below has finally recoiled
The green turns to black, the blue disappears
The blood streaked sunset seeps into the soil
The barren wasteland, abandoned for years.

Solitude stains like ink on a new shirt
And yet here I swim mindlessly; in space
Oxygen escapes as my mind averts
To the vast, celestial wall-less maze

Darkness floods the area around me
As I drift further from the lifeless earth.
The fading stars taunt my desperate pleas
While I float toward a concave of dearth

I am frozen, gliding through days with grace
Unable to move, I am lost in space
