Memories

A memory I will cherish,
Kept in my mind,
A memory so special,
It was the best moment in time.
These are my footprints,
So perfect and small,
These tiny little footprints can’t fit me at all.
When I was a kid,
I thought the moon followed my car,
I left cookies for Santa,
And liked to play on my old guitar.
I would paint the best butterflies,
and make dandelion chains.
I would put my arms inside my t-shirt,
and play the most silliest games.
A memory so special,
It belongs in my heart,
And as long as I remember my childhood,
My life won’t be apart.
