Memories

A pale blue object lays still across the ground,
A red little symbol marks its territory on the left,
Around the symbol the words read HARTWELL PRIMARY SCHOOL,
Oh memories, memories all flashback,
A range of signatures slowly cover the object,
All my friends I used to play with,
Dark blue pen is what it’s written in,
Oh memories, memories all flashback,
The texture of the object is really quite rough,
It’s like running your fingers down a honeycomb board,
But don’t be fooled for the taste of the object isn’t at all that sweet,
Oh memories, memories all flashback,
What was your greatest memory, I ask the still object,
A silent reply is all I receive,
But this doesn’t bother me for if I look beyond the object,
Memories, memories will flashback,
The object reveals its true identity,
It is my pale blue primary school top,
It is something that is important to me,
For it treasures the memories of my primary school days
