In my bedroom
Sitting with his friends on the pillow
Is Monkey Mikey
A fluffy and small pillow toy
Coloured light brown like timber
In parts, dark brown like chocolate
Soft like a big ball of cotton wool
As cosy as my mum
But as supportive as my dad
Bought from shops in the city
A special gift from my mum
As my very first jungle animal
It helps me sleep
Keeping me company at night
It reminds me of my family
Makes me feel safe and secure
If it was lost or broken
I’d feel sad and guilty
I must take care of my belongings
Including, Monkey Mikey
