The monster inside my head
Staying dormant at times,
Other times he wakes up.

He breathes down your neck
Lingering behind.
The smallest things setting him off
He clings to you
Squeezing until you can't breathe.

Being choked, constricted, smothered.
While this monster clings to your back
You can't concentrate on anything else.
Once it's had its fill, it'll leave you.
But the effects never leave.

You live in fear that the monster will return.
Consuming your mind.
The box you live in gets
Smaller and smaller
Until it's choking you.
