Wood is more precious than gold

As are all the things on the planet, we behold

We look across stars so vast and one thing remains clear

There is no place quite like where we are, right here

There is one place we find these things

Yet we strip it away for nothing

Wood is more precious than gold,

Same with the planet we behold

A diamond and bastion of security and love

Unlike the deadly and cold expanse above

A place unlike any other filled with pure wonder

A land holding on

Still glowing with culture and song

We take this for granted

No appreciation for what has been handed

Our planet is so rare, conditions being right

water and atmosphere, the sight

For others above in distant worlds,

They must envy this planet we call home

Earth is more precious than gold
