Walking down the old splintered path,

the slices of wood creek and groan.

The sun just waking up,

bathing me in the light.

A soft warm blanket familiar and comfortable.

The beach starts to swallow the path as I am lead upon the sand.

The sweet sand swims around as I enter the ocean.

A whirlwind just my feet.

The cool crisp water climbs up and up my body until I am fully emerged.

Underneath there is silence

Opening my eyes, a deep blue surrounds me.

Drowning out my sorrows,

my worries,

my fears.

Reaching down my hand touches the bottom of the sea.

The world feels different here.

It’s a place where I can be

me.
