Nature is unforgiving, like a mother, fearsome;

She bellows and howls, waking you up, frightening;

She grumbles and growls, feeling scared and worrisome;

Taking you away, left alone, stomach grumbling.

She destroys all in your wake, snatching what you love.

Nature is unforgiving, uneasy and controlling.

If you rebel, she'll launch you high above,

She'll wreak havoc, forcing you into hiding.

Devastating, like a deadly wave drowning you;

Mother will sweep you off your feet, quaking the ground.

Nature is unforgiving, she'll break what you own;

Like a sinkhole, she'll make pits, with the dirt, you're bound.

Nature is a mother, crude and judgemental,

Mother is ruthless, yet, you're sentimental.
