She has cried
But you ignored.
Droughts and flames
She angrily roars.

She reveals her beauty
That you quickly extinguish.
Turn your back as you do,
If you must, relinquish.
But she will shine for eternity,
Showing her warm embrace,
Even though you will blow dust and smoke,
Just to keep up the pace.

The love she shares is calm and subtle.
Seen in petals and roses,
And splashes of puddles.
Silently waiting, hiding in the trees
Small nestlings’ homes are destroyed
For you own currency.
