Mother Nature

My shrieks of desperate help echo off from the bounded walls,
My long arms chained to the wall as one by one, my creations start to fall.
Bam! My beautiful trees fall to the ground as logs,
Crunch! One by one, my withering leaves are now being trod on.
One day, a little girl heard my pleads, from the other side of my perfect façade,
She looks at me, eyes to eyes and looks at the mess that humanity has made.
She stretches out her hand and guides me into the blinding light,
We soar in the stars that are vivid and bright.
We climb the never-ending lands from mountains to forests,
Where we actually call home is the endless outback where the view is never the poorest.
One by one, my creations begin to rise,
Starting to flourish and beginning to thrive.
Just because of one. Single. Girl.
She visits me now, a time each day,
Bringing another person and smile into play.
Every time there is a friend, one tree grows,
Until the field is filled with rows and rows.
