Elegant, pink and very girly,
I value it to this day.
My sweet, innocent, musical, jewellery box
So pink, so glittery
And so full of life.

The small ballerina
Dancing inside.
She spins and she spins,
As the golden, shiny knob
Goes round and round.

She wears a pink, frilly
And patterned tutu.
With her hair in a plastic bun.
When I open the vibrant box,
I find all types of mysterious
Beautiful treasures inside.

My old, broken and colourful jewellery
From when I was only five.
There are so many wondrous treasures,
From my purple beaded bracelet
To my pink plastic ring.

Sometimes when my mood is bitter,
I turn the knob and listen.
To my childhood memories,
And Frère Jacques singing.

My pink, elegant and very girly,
Ballerina, musical, jewellery box.
